Hi folks -- I've tried two other forums, no one seems to have heard of this problem!
The below error is preventing me from viewing any site trees in SharePoint Designer 2010. It started showing up abruptly, but (maybe conincidently) after I had a new profile added to my machine (the old one was corrupted).
Error:There are no files to show in this view that match current filter settings. Remove or modify the filter settings to display more items.
Also -- I was able to work in the SPD tree when entering from another sharepoint source that had a "edit in sharepoint designer" option for a file. However, I am unable to reopen that file unless I arrive from that source -- I can't open SPD and then open that file.
I'm running windows 7 pro, and to date, I have tried reloading and rebooting SPD2010 and removing SPD 2007 and rebooting.
THANKS!!!
E

It happened to me also. Not an Odd case.
What was missing is to clear filter from designer columns.
Look at type column at Designer --> Select All by default Custom is selected.
Hi Daniel - tried that one first, no responses! I think this is an odd case.
