Installation disk keeps ejecting

I have a Mac OX X version 10.6.7  I'm trying to Install Office for Mac 2008 and the disk keeps ejecting.  I have cleaned the disk drive and closed all programs and still the disk ejects when I try to install.  HELP!

You may also refer to the following Microsoft Article to test for damaged Office for Mac installation media and check if this helps to resolve the issue:

Check if the disc works on another computer. If yes, copy the image of the disc and transfer it to the problem computer through a flash drive and try installing it.

We saw a lot of issues with Office 2008 CDs. If you can test in another drive it would verify if it's the drive. Contact the vendor where you purchased and ask for a replacement. This will probably take some time if it's not a local vendor.If you can find it online, you can use the installer and use the CD key on your box to install.

An option: Check the DVD Player setting re-set it to the max speed.
