Having actively changed nothing between today and yesterday, microsoft office 2010 applications are unable to be opened on this computer. Previously everything was working perfectly, but now upon attempting to open an office application, the error message "Feature ID not registered" appears. I am running Vista, 64 bit

Do you have the disk and product key for Office 2010?
Try to uninstall Office 2010 using Microsoft Fixit and then re-install it. Refer the link below and click on the Fixit button under Office 2010 Suites.
