Force 'Sync your settings' on endpoints via Intune?

Hi all,

I'm trying to push a configuration policy that forces all endpoints to turn on 'Sync your settings'.

So far, I can only find https://www.howto-connect.com/configure-sync-your-settings-in-windows-10/ which discussed how to disable it, or enable it (to give users the ability to turn it on), but nothing for admins to force sync.

Can anyone help out?

@Anthony-All IT Solutions Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

To clarify this issue, please check if we could configure this setting -'Sync your settings' manually. Based on my experience, the settings are greyed out.

And I also check this in an unenrolled device, it shows the same. If we couldn't configure this setting manually, I don't think we could force 'Sync your settings' via Intune.

Given this situation, it is suggested to contact windows support to confirm if this situation is by designed. Here is the support link:

Hope the above information will help.

There is a set of group policies and CSPs (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/policy-csp-admx-settingsync) to control whether or not the settings are available to users (i.e., enable the controls), however, there are no settings to force these options to on as that is meant to be a user a choice. You may be able to find the exact registry value to change in the user's profile and configure it directly with a script, but this may or may not work as expected for the same reason.
