One of our users is getting an error whenever he opens a Word document from our Intranet. All other documents open ok, except for Word documents. He is able to open documents from the internet with no problem.

The error is generated by MS Word 2010 and reads:

No connecticity with the server.

The file 'http://..... .doc' can't be opened because the server couldn't be contacted.

Thanks. I will post up on that forum.

Also, when browsing to the network share to open the document then it works fine.

    Hi Anula,

The link on our Intranet page points to a document on a network location.

What do you mean by Intranet?

Are you talking about SharePoint, a network location or a shared drive, etc.?
