"cannot create file" when trying to load OLE objects from word

Hello All,

i have a particularly troublesome problem using OLE objects with Office 2007. my company writes software that uses OLE to store documents in a database. You can however emulate what we do by doing the following:

save an outlook email in .msg format.

drag it into a word document, this will use OLE to place the msg in the document.

you can open that .msg by double clicking. Outlook should then be launched and should display the email.

Instead on 3 separate sites, all running Office 2007, users now get an error message , which can be seen here:

the blacked out path is the secure temp files location from the registry, in Documents and Settings.

I've done a lot of searching around and almost every instance of this that I can find suggests emptying that folder. I have done this, and the error persists.

All the users involved are the owners of these directories, with full and complete access to it. All seem to have Office 2007 and XP.

We have multiple sites which also have this combination (2007/XP) and are working perfectly well.

can anyone suggest what may be going on here? I'm at my wits end

Thanks in Advance.

James
