Documents open behind tool bar

Recently I inadvertently closed the standard and formatting tool bars at the top of the window in Word/Office 2004 for Mac. I was able to get them back, but now whenever I open a document (whether it is a new document or a previously created one), the top of the document aligns behind the tool bars at the top of the window instead of adjacent to the bottom of the tool bars. I think this has happened before but I can't remember how I fixed it. I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks!

try this:

Drag one of the toolbar some where in document so you can see top of document window frame. click on the green stoplight button at top right corner of document this should resize the document if it has shrunk document enough where you can see bottom of document. Now locate the grab Triangle (lower left corner) and resize so That you can move down out of way (grab from top of window to Drag down)

Now reposition the Toolbars moving them so that bump up against each other.  And position even with left edge.

Now move document window to just touch left edge and up until it just touches bottom of lowest toolbar then,

go back to bottom left corner and click the drag triangle (bar or whatever you wish to call it) and drag to the right and down so its just above the Doc bar for OSX (if you have it positioned at the bottom) and at the right edge. I don't have Office2004 loaded otherwise I would open Word and make a Movie to illustrate.

Oh my gosh, thank you! It worked! I don't understand how or why, but I'm grateful that it did. I appreciate you sharing your expertise, especially so quickly.
