.Net Framework 4.8 still unavailable to app service

Are we able to manually update our app service to 4.8? We're ready to go with a patch (to be on the safe side we updated to 4.8), but our app service is still on 4.7.

    Hello @SeanBrophy-0735 , .NET Framework 4.8 support is coming to App Service. Public Azure cloud deployment starts in mid-late July 2020 completing by mid-September 2020. For our Sovereign clouds, deployment will begin by mid-late August 2020 and complete by early-October 2020. For more information, please see this. You can track rollout progress here.

    There is no way to install manually in App Service since it's a PaaS offering. I suggest you to wait till the official rollout in your region.
