Printing Split Forms

Is there anyway to print both the datasheet and the form? I have someone trying to do it for an assignment and it shows a picture on their example of them being printed together. Is thier book wrong? I'm not sure if any of you have ever used the Access 2007, Volume 1 book from Prentice Hall, but it's assigment 5C.

I teach an Access course for a local university's Continuing Ed program. I use a text that I have many issues with. Texts often tell you to do things that you would never do in real life just to make sure you are aware of capabilities. Just because the book tells you to do something doesn't mean you can or, more importantly, should do it. For example, the text I use tells you how to create a table from Datasheet mode. I tell my students yes you can do it, not forget that you can since you will NEVER use that feature.

Well, he got the book from someone who got it from someone else, so I'm guessing they've been using it as long as Office 2007 has been out.  I been looking over the assignments and they usually have to print tables, queries, reports, relationship reports, and forms. When you create a split form it's basically a form with a datasheet as the subform. In the book it shows the expected outcome as the form and datasheet printed together exactly as it appears in Form View. I just made a split form to see what would happen and from what I can tell is it makes a form with the actual table you used to create the form as the subform, but the print options for split forms only give you the option of one or the other. I think I see scroll bars in the example picture, so it's possible this is actually a screen shot the book is showing.

As Gina said, you don't print forms you print reports. And you can set up a report to print the way you want.

Actually... I don't know if the book is wrong, don't have it.  I do know that I don't understand what you are trying to print.  Is the datasheet a subform on the main form?  OR do you have a form open and a datasheet open and are trying to print both?

It should also be noted for printing one would normally use reports not forms.
