office 2010 does not automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box

After I upgraded to Office 2010 the mouse pointer does not automatically move to the default button in dialog boxes when I close Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. This worked quite well in Office 2007 on the same machine. Without this functionality I have to unnecessarily manually move the mouse pointer to Save, for example.

I am using Win 7 64-bit on a dual core DELL computer.

I have searched the web for solutions but found none. Please fix the problem.

Nope as I said when submitting my question I had already tried the standard fix of selecting the Snap to button in the mouse control panel. So your answer did not help me solve this on going issue.

Snap to does not work in Excel 2010 on my Windows 7 64 bit (it works with lots of other programs). Clearly a bug which wastes a lot of time, I wish it could be fixed with an update?

This is a long running problem and many people have complained.

Why can't we get Microsoft to fix this?  It is incredibly frustrating!!

    This behaviour is unacceptable.

This only happens with the Office apps.

The idea behind Snap to is to minimize hand and finger movements thus reducing the possibility of repetative stress injuries. Having the press the Enter key while one's hand is already on the mouse defeats this purpose.

I hope there's a solution to this problem.
