Cannot use right click mouse function in pivot table excel 2010

I am not sure if it is just my computer but I have uninstalled and reinstalled office 2010 pro plus and still have the issue of not being able to bring up the shortcut pop up when right clicking in pivot tables.  I did install the power pivot add in however that is not what I am working with. I am simply using a general pivot table and the right click mouse function does not work. Other co workers are running the same office pacakage but does not have this issue. Is it possible that the power pivot add in is creating this problem???

Does this issue happen with one specific file or with all files?

Try working in excel safe and check if this helps.

Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run > Copy and Paste the following command in the open box and press Enter.

Excel /safe

If Excel safe works as expected, disable the add-ins for it using the following steps:

a) Click on File menu, click Options > Add-ins > Go button besides Manage: Com-in Add.

b) Check if there are add-ins listed, clear the checkbox to disable them.

c) Close the Office program and restart it.

d) Disable each add-in one at a time, restart the Excel, and repeat the above procedure. If the issue reappears again, it will help you to determine which add-in is causing this issue.

I had this problem and it turned out refreshing the pivot chart enabled right clicking on it again for me.  I also think the problem originally started because the last column in my data set that the pivot chart was based on originally had a title, but it was deleted when I re-ran my macro to update the data (my fault I hadn't told the macro to rename that column).  So maybe make sure the data the pivot table is based on hasn't been corrupted.
