validation status

When I open word or powerpoint I receive a message which states that my program is not validated. It came on the computer. The validation status action required  tells me I cannot continue because my web browser is not configured to run the script. I don't understand why I have to do anything as this came with the computer in 2003 and just started about 3 months ago.

Reset your Security settings in Internet Options to default - that should fix it.

If your computer is continually requesting validation then you must be using a program that requires it - such as MSE - and this normally happens in the background.

There's also a possibility that your Anti-Virus is blocking the script - Norton a notorious for this.

Try a manual Validation:_

http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

if that fails, follow the links to the diagnostics, and see what they have to say about your problems.

Windows periodically re-validates your licenses. If it can't run the script to do the validation, your good friends at MS assume the worst and figure you are a thief <sigh>.

You will have to enable scripts in your browser. Which one is it?
