Data analysis add-ins for mac

I am trying to download the data analysis add in for mac Excel 2008 and nothing is popping up in the Add-Ins menu to download.  I'm having no problem finding it on my PC, but I really would like it on my mac.  Please help me to get this application.

StatPlus:Mac LE is a separate Mac application controlled from Excel by AppleScript.

Download it, double-click the zip file, double-click the dmg file, and install it like any other Mac application.

It does not appear in Excel's add-in manager.

In fact, I don't think anything ever appears in the Mac Excel 2008 add-in manager, because add-ins are not supported.
