Could Visio Support Multithreading?

Question

While Visio is searching shapes, user can't edit the drawing at the same time.

If the search time is very long, it will waste much time of user.

Multithreading technology should be able to solve this problem.

Microsoft, could Visio support it in the future?

The performance issues with Search are very dependent on the computer and the size of the content being searched, but the performance is something that has been noted.  I'm not aware of any specific update plans for a future version.

Yes, I understood your question.  However, the search being slow is a factor as well.  In either case, there is no announcement about any changes in future versions.

I am sorry that my problem might be not related to the search performance.

I don't mean Visio might increase the search performance by multithreading.

Instead, I mean user can search shapes and edit the Visio drawing at the same time

if Visio supported multithreading.

It is very like many GUI designs, which support multithreading:

User can press a button, and one thread is for executing a routine and another thread is for redrawing the GUI.
