Using Forms in OneNote.

Is there a way to use Forms in OneNote? I want to be able to go through a "checklist" of items in a supervision walkthrough using both checkboxes and text areas. I want to be able check items off but also have the ability to write in comments.

Ideally it would also allow me to have the opportunity to use dropdowns and other form elements to make the process as effecient as possible but also allowing me to customize responses.

Not really - if you're looking to create forms with dropdowns and radio buttons and such you're probably looking for Microsoft InfoPath.

OneNote CAN do simple tags like checkboxes and you can create a template and save it for reuse...but I don't think it's going to offer the level of functionality you're looking for.

    @George:

    Have you found an acceptable solution to our mutual problem?  I really would like to create a form with ActiveX controls (combo boxes, drop downs, etc.) that could be filled out form within OneNote.

    What I'm ding now is creating forms in Word, filling them out, and then inserting them into the ON page.  The problem is, sometimes that info needs to be updated, and I can't do it within ON - gotta go back to Word.

    Don't understand the Acrobat discussion above at all, and also don't know what "box tags" are.

    Wouldn't you think forms are a natural for ON?

    Apparently. InfoPath went bye bye. Is there a similar solution available?

    What do you mean by "box tags"?

    I have just started dabbling in OneNote but another method you could use would be to create a form in OneNote or in Word and import it into Adobe standard. In Adobe you can create fillable forms and change it to where the content can't be altered. Then you could even do electronic signatures so if you want to sign off that you went through something with a supervisor, you can. If you use Word and build the fields with tables and insert the box tags...Adobe automatically knows what to do with everything. Just a thought!
