When I create a bookmark in my document to link to another place in the same document, I get a message and the link does not work. Here's the message I get:

"Opening XXXX

It is important to be certain that this file is from a trustworthy source.

Would you like to open this file" OK/Cancel

I click OK, but nothing happens. I am not taken to the linked location in the document. Bookmarks used to work just fine but then they stopped working.

Thanks for the suggestion. I ran the diagnostics but it didn't really find anything.

I tried a little experiment. The document that I'm working on is stored on Sharepoint (we use it as our intranet). When I saved the document to my hard drive, the bookmarks worked fine. So I guess there's some internet security issue. Any idea which Internet Options>Security setting would affect this?

    Hi Amy,

Have you tried repairing Word (Word Options|Resources|Diagnose)?
