I bought a new Toshiba Windows7 laptop that comes with the 60-day trial version of Office 2007 Home and Student that I downloaded from Microsoft wesite. When installing from Office Pro 2007 cds that I  recently purchased, I encountered the problem. I tried to solve the problem in Browse and selected the CD drive that is installing the Office CDs, the same message pops up "Setup cannot find Pro WW\Setup.xml".  Where can I find the setup.exe in my computer? Do I have to uninstall the trial version first before I install my Office 2007 discs?

This happen if the office setup files in machine is corrupt. Remove all the instances of office keys from the registry to fix this issue. Follow the steps mentioned in the article below:

Note: Back up the registry before you modify or delete any key: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Back-up-the-registry

If the issue still persists after uninstalling the trial version of Office 2007, refer to the link below to troubleshoot installation issues:

Note: for Windows 7, follow the steps given for Windows Vista in the following link.

Yes uninstall the trial version first and try the installation again. If it still doesn't work copy the content of the cd/dvd to your hard disk and try again. Or try another cd/dvd drive to check if there is something wrong with the disk.
