If you have a colum of data that you want to copy and paste to another program i.e a list of email adresses to outlook or to word and you select cell using shift and ctrl. In that list you have a cell with information that you dont want included into the paste so you skip that cell by using ctrl, when you than paste the copy into another program the skipped cell is included into your paste but if you post the same copy into excel then the paste in as you would expect. If you look into the clipboard manager you will se all cells included in the copy but somehow excel manages to sort that out when pasting internally but not externally.

Hi,

so you have to copy & paste in two steps (manually or programmatically):

  1. Copy & paste your data from one Excel sheet to another Excel sheet (the blank cells are skipped)
  2. Copy & paste that cleanded data into the other program.

Regards,

Frank
