runtime error 1025

When the prepare a Word document to be printed by a sofware package, I get the Microsoft runtime error 1025 but no printed document.  How do I get rid of this error message?  Thanks.

Hi Lynn,

Ø  If you have a antivirus installed , disabled the antivirus and try printing. Check with your antivirus if that works.

If that doesn’t work

Ø  Try printing it from Notepad ,word pad or any other application.

v  If Does not print correctly in any of the application:- Uninstall and reinstall printer drivers and contact your printer manufacturer.

v  If prints correctly in any of the applications:- Follow these steps.

·         Change the default printer to send to OneNote or Microsoft document writer.

-          To change the default printer in windows vista\7:- Click on control panel\printers and faxes -> Right click on the printer you want to make default and click on set as default printer. Try printing from word now.

·         If it does not print correctly with any of the applications:- Uninstall and reinstall printer drivers contacting your printer manufacturer.

·         If it Prints correctly:- Follow these steps.

1.     Win Xp –  Navigate to My computer ->c:->Documents and settings->username->application data-> Microsoft->Templates-> and renamed normal .dot/m template to normal .old

Win Vista\7- Navigated to computer ->c:->users->username->app data->Roaming->Microsoft->Templates-> and renamed normal .dot/m template to normal .old.

2.   <br>Click Start, click Run, type<br>regedit , and then click OK.   <br><br><br>3.   <br>Click the following subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\office\12\word and rename the data and the options key.   <br><br><br><br>4.   <br>On the File menu, click Export, and export the key on the desktop.<br><br><br>5.   <br>Right click on the key and rename the registry key.<br><br><br>6.   <br>Now open word and try printing.<br><br><br> <br><br><br> <br><br><br> <br><br><br>Note:-<br>Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft<br> cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
