Error 5000 installing Office 2007

This is the error that it crashes with along with event id 5000,

EventType office12setup, P1 {10120000-0f00-0000-0000--0000000ff1ce}, P2 12.0.4518.1014, P3 x, P4 msiapicallfailure, P5 enterprise_enterpriseww.xml, P6 x, P7 x, P8 NIL, P9 NIL, P10 NIL.

Any ideas?

    Ensure there are no multiple versions of Office installed on the computer.

    Use the Microsoft Fixit tool to uninstall the Office suites and then try installing the Office 2007.

    Note: Ensure you have the disc and the product key to reinstall Office.

    I'm trying to reinstall windows 2007 from my disc because excel and powerpoint won't work and all I get is:
