I've fixed the reference in MS Access but still can't import a file.  I'm running Windows 7 all service packs up to date.  The msjet40.dll version I can't find on web so have no clue.  I'm also run and registered the dao360.dll etc

    Hi all,

dont know whether this item is still open, but i think i solved the issue:

Microsoft does not support DAO any longer under Windows7. I changed the complete application to ADO (yes, ____ of a job) and everything works fine now.

Is not nice of Microsoft, but we have learned to deal with these kind of changes over the last years.

Hmm one name asks the question and another responds to a request for more info?

The first post refers to import, the followup to links, which is it? The question was asked HOW are you tryingt to import(link). Do you get any error messages? If so, what?

Hope this helps, Scott<> P.S. Please post a response to let us know whether our answer helped or not. Microsoft Access MVP 2009 Author: Microsoft Office Access 2007 VBA Technical Editor for: Special Edition Using Microsoft Access 2007 and Access 2007 Forms, Reports and Queries

Going to need a wee bit more information for anyone to give you an intelligent reply...

    1.  What version of Access?

    2.  Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit?

    3.  What type of file of this that you are trying to import?

    4.  How are you trying to import it?

    5.  Are you using .MDB format?

    6.  Is this database split and/or on a network?
