No, the font size remains the same. The text box elongates, so there's a lot of empty space at the bottom.

Using Excel 2003
I download a report into an unsaved Excel worksheet from an ERP system. Then I copy and paste it into another worksheet of a saved workbook. Then I format it (sorting, unhide rows/columns, edit/replace, etc.) by means of a macro. That all works fine. In this worksheet there's a text box. When I run the macro to format the worksheet, the text box gets bigger. In the properties of the text box, "Don't move or size with cells" is selected. What else can I do to ensure that this text box remains the same size when the macro runs the formatting of the worksheet? Thank you.

As explained about, my macro formats the spreadsheet----unhiding rows and columns, resizing columns, changing numbers like GGW-00005685 to eliminate the GGW-0000, changing numbers like 0000002385 to eliminate the 6 zeros, and finally sorting.
No, the "automatic size" is not selected.
Does the font size of the textbox get bigger, or just the dimensions of the textbox itself?
what exactly is your macro doing?
I put a textbox on a worksheet and made sure 'do not resize...' was checked. no matter what I did I couldn't duplicate your experience.
The only weird thing that happened was when I selected the 'Automatic Size' on the Alignment tab of the properties dialog. However this isn't selected by default - did you perhaps select it?
