I think there is something wrong with my Registry...I keep getting an error asking me to allow it access.  I click yes (twice it pops up), then goes away.  Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel 2010) crash almost instantly.  Also, my cut and paste function doesn't work anymore.  No viruses or malware, had it checked by the Geek Squad.  Any advice? Not sure how to clean up the Registry or reinstall Office.

I get those errors after it has crashed...basically states that it is shutting down, trying to recover lost data, then fails with similar error messages.

I would uninstall, except I purchased my laptop through Dell, they didn't provide the 2007 discs and I received a promotional upgrade (full version, not trial) to Office 2010 with an online product key from Microsoft (again, no discs).

The Registry error pops up indiscriminately, even if the applicaitons are not opened.

Below are the two errors I receive in the details:

Progrma name: Registry Editor; Verified publisher: Microsoft Windows; Program location: "C:\Windows\regedit.exe"\e

    "C:\Users\SBAM-BILLY\Documents\WindowUpdates\updates.reg"

    "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Explorer\Intelliforms\Storage1"

then the next error message states:

Program name: UserAccount ControlSettings; Verified publisher: Microsoft Windows; Program location: "C:\Windows\system32\UserAccountControl

    /applySettings"

Turn off the User Account control and then restart the computer to check what happens

Do you get the errors 0xc0000417 and 0x72420f0 while using the office applications?

When do you get the prompt to allow access to registry and which programs is requesting this action?

Uninstall and re-install the Office suite and check if it helps.

Note: Make sure you‘ve the installation disc before uninstalling.
