FrontPage Run-Time Component Page Error

I just published my updated website and when I push the submit button on any of the forms, I get the following error "FrontPage Run-Time Component Page - You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly. This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed." How do I fix this quickly?

Right now when any of my customers try to use my site and submit info they can't as they see this error message!

My website was created using Publisher 2000.  I use FrontPage 98 Version 3.0.2.1330 to publish it thru Hostway and never had a problem until today.  My OS is Windows 98.  I haven't upgraded it as FrontPage 98 won't run on XP, Vista etc.  The website is all that is on this computer.

Just spoke with my hosting company again and explained the situation.  They said they would reinstall the FPSE again.  I waited a while before hearing anything more from them and checked my website and found the submit pages were now working!  Then I got a response back on the "chat" asking if I had a backup copy of my web on my computer before they reloaded?  At that point I told them to STOP as my forms were now working!  I have no idea what changed but my website is now back up and running properly!  Thanks for all your help!!!

It's also happening on FrontPage when I view the web before I publish it.  Does this mean it is still something the hosting company has to do or do I have a different problem with FrontPage?

If this is happening on your live site, installing the FrontPage Server Extensions is something that your web hosting company would have to do for you. If they no longer support the FPSE, then you either have to find a hosting company that does (if you want to use the FP Form Component), or create your form using a different technology supported by your host.

    Hi Kathleen,

Thanks for your response.  I took a look at the KB article and unfortunately nothing seems to help from that.  In going thru those though it appears that I no longer have the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.  The program is asking for the disk to install them and of course I can't find it!  If I purchase FrontPage 2003 (it's still available) and upload my file from Publisher 98 do you think that will fix my problem?

    Please see this KB article:

You see a "FrontPage Save Result Component" message instead of a form when view a page that contains a form
