Using Document Properties in Publisher fields

I see that I can add custom document properties to Publisher documents, just like Word, but I don't see any way to add a Field to a Publisher page that can be updated from those properties.  What am I missing?

Visual Basic is available with Publisher 2010, it just isn't on the Ribbon. File, Options, Customize the Ribbon. Select All Commands on the drop down, scroll down to Visual Basic. You can create a shortcut on the the Quick Access Toolbar too.

The Properties command is also available to add to the toobars.

Thanks, but the references speak mostly to Word and other fully VBA-enabled Office apps.  I'd figured out how to add custom document properties in a Publisher 2010 publication.  It's just I can't figure out how to use such properties within a publication and have them update as they do in other Office apps.  The larger question is whether VBA can be used with Publisher effectively or even at all.

    Thanks,

    Richard
