Due to a total lack of caring on both Microsoft and Dell's part I am going to have to return a brand new computer because I cannot install Office 2010 on the computer becuase it keeps poping up a browser window asking for the location of setup.exe I have tried all of the uninstalls and fixes and nothing works. Dell wants me to pay a fee to get it resolved and so does microsoft. I am NOT going to pay for a bug. Sad times folks sad times.

Which edition of Office did you purchase (Office home and student 2010, Office home and business 2010, or Office professional 2010)?

Did you purchase a retail copy of Office 2010?

If yes, how are you trying to install Office using the disc or the downloaded installation source file?

If you are installing Office using the disc

Create a new folder on the computer, copy the entire contents of the disk (Click on Start > Computer > Right click on DVD drive > Copy) to a new folder on the desktop and then run the installation from the setup file in the folder and check if it works fine.

If the above steps fail download Office 2010 using the link below and install using your product key.
