Editing text in Form Text Boxes (using Developer tab) help

I have created Word templates with form text boxes from the developer tab. Now when they are filled out and saved, I can only delete one letter at a time. I've tried un-protecting and re-protecting the document, re-saving as a .doc (instead of .docx) and neither works. Please help!

    Then do some basic troubleshooting...

    • Confirm that Office is fully updated [14.3.2 is the current version]
    • Repair disk permissions using Apple's Disk Utility
    • Restart your Mac

I can't drag to select, it selects the entire paragraph.  The keyboard shortcuts aren't working either.

Double-click the field to select the entire content, then delete it or just type the replacement. If you're trying to replace/delete only a portion of the content you have to drag to select or use keyboard selection techniques. See Word Help on *Selecting Text & Graphics* in: [Word keyboard shortcuts\]
