Word 2010 "second page" problem

When I use Word 2010 with SP1 to open .doc documents which doesn't have page number on the first page (cover page); cursor always directly goes to the second page. i.e. when I double click a file it automatically starts in the second page. Is that a new feature in Word 2010 for skipping the cover page viewing at startup? How do I fix that? Or can I turn off the option?

After suffering the same problem when I upgraded from Word 2007 to 2010, I found a similar discussion and determined that you can fix this by disabling an add-in for genko.dll.

Yes, the same thing occur even I use File>Open to open documents. This is only for documents without a page number in the first page (First page>no page number, Second page>Page 2 etc.); but it's working fine with documents with default page numbering (First page>Page 1, Second page>Page 2).

Check if you have a macro in the Word document?

Also check if the same issue occurs with all the documents without a page number in the first page, or just with a particular file.

Try creating a new file with the same settings and check if the issue is reproduced.
