I want to place data labels in specific locations on my Excel chart. I find that using "snap to grid" & "Snap to shape" do not allow me to line up the labels neatly. And overriding the "snap to" function making precise alignment difficult . How can see the grid it is using to "snap to" or assign specific coordinates to place the labels?

The add-in has unprotected code (or at least earlier versions did) so it is an excellent learning tools, written by an incredibly skilled programmer.

Thanks, but I really don't want to install additional software/utility. I want to understand how to make Excel do what I want it to do. I may try the utility but I would only do that as a last resort. Thanks.

Use Chart Labeler, a free, excellent utility, available at:
