OneNote and FireWall Server

Our company has an Internet connection via Lan through a BorderWare Firewall Server. We also have a WiFi hotspot primarily used for Guest access to the Internet. I can connect OneNote to Skydrive and sync via the WiFi connection (No BorderWare firewall here). However, when I attempt sync through the network, I get a message saying the OneNote encountered a problem and couldn't complete the operation. I know I have to unlock something in the firewall but I can't figure out what it is.

If I monitor the network in Windows 7 Resource Monitor, I see two OneNote processes running when going through the wireless connection and OneNote syncs with Skydrive. When running on the Lan through the firewall, no OneNote processes show up. In both instances, a one or two Skydrive processes are present..

We've never seen any problem with HTTPS services through the firewall. but it's blocking OneNote. Are there any thoughts on what it might be?

Tom

Well, this is interesting. I did as you suggested and the response was that I should post my question in the Office OneNote forum. Borderware has been sold so I no longer have a support function that I can contact. I was hoping that someone could help here.

I have opened TCP & UDP 40000-49999 but got no joy. Perhaps I'll try Office Tech Support.
