I am using a networkdays formula and it is not calculating correctly in Excel 2010 for the year 2016

The formula is =NETWORKDAYS(C4,C5,Holidays)

The start date is 01/01/2016 (cell C4)

The end date is 12/31/2016 (cell C5)

Holidays are (holidays are defined as cells F20:F29)

1/1/16

1/18/16

2/15/16

5/30/16

7/4/16

9/5/16

10/10/16

11/11/16

11/24/16

12/26/16

The answer I receive is 251 workdays.  However, 2016 is a leap year and the caluclation should equal 253 workdays.

Can someone provide some assistance?

    Hi

    The formula is correct AFAIK.

2016 has 261 working days minus your 10 holidays

2013 has the same 261 working days also and it's not a leap year.

Remember, it's weekdays not full week.

    Hi,

I don't understand the reasoning here.

In 2016 there are 366 days of which

    261 are weekdays

    105 are Sat or Sun

    So 261- your 10 holidays=251

what am I not understanding about this question?

Are you sure it's supposed to equal 253 workdays?

The year 2016 contains 52 full workweeks and a Friday (1/1/2016), that's 52*5+1=261 workdays. 261 Days minus the 10 holidays you defined totals 251 workdays.
