Hello,

When I insert spreadsheet from existing file i have empty rows and columns in case of small spreadsheet. How to change visible range of cells? Also cell borders are shown even there are no borders in excel but in onenote it is. Even in print preview. And is it possible to insert spreadsheet without shortcut for it but still having relation between spreadsheet and excel file.

Thanks for reply

Hello,

I am having the same problem with OneNote, and it is very annoying.

Finally I found the solution on this page : format an embedded excel table in OneNote

What a relief !

Hope this helps (but maybee you already found it since your post in 2013 !).

For more detailed guidance (with pictures), see https://onenote2016.wordpress.com/2016/10/08/format-embedded-spreadsheet/

Best regards,

Albin

PS :

  • the "insert/table" option proposed did not worked in OneNote 2013 and 2016 (as far as I am concerned) : OneNote would bug and close each time I tried this option.
  • the "select all blank column & rows/hide" works fine : more time consuming, but definitely a good workaround

those both refer to older versions of onenote, before the spreadsheets were introduced.

    Thanks for reply.

Sorrowfully OneNote is quite raw in case of embedded table as it turned out.

Wish MS team to solve it  successfully.
