Problem with Key Code to Install Publisher 2002

I am trying to install just Publisher 2002 onto a new PC running Windows 7.  My PC has Office2013  Home and Business installed which does not include Publisher.  I have the Product Key from OfficePro 2002, but I keep getting error messages that I have not entered a valid product key.  Do I need to install all of Office 2002 before the Publisher disc will be accepted or is there another resolution to this problem?

I suppose yes. Are you trying to install it from the 2nd disc?

I suggest you to insert 1st disc and run customized installation (uncheck all the components) using the product key and the try installing Publisher from the 2nd disc which shouldn't prompt you for the product key.

You could also try changing the installation folder, just to make sure that there is no conflict with Office 2013.
