I have loaded office pro 2010 to a laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. I have a database that I used on my old machine using the same software with the only difference being windows 7 32 bit. Now when I try to run a Apend Query access cashes and looks to Miccrosoft site for solution.

Is something wrong with some setting etc. that will fix this?

Thanks Tom

So we are talking about linked tables? If so, check you links in the Linked Table Manager to see if they are correct. Then open the table in question in datasheet view just to make sure it opens.

Actually, I have Mis-Stated my problem. When I hit the Run button it says can not find the file in the named location. So then I want to change the folder location that the table is suppose to append the Query. The way to do this is to click on the Append Query button and this is where it crashes.

    Does this make sense?

Do you have the latest Office 2010 updates installed? Is the database file in a trusted location?

I copied the files to another computer with windows 7 32 bit, to perform the query and it worked fine.

    Any other suggestions?

    Tom

I've run Access 2010 32-bit on Windows 7 64-bit with no problems. Perhaps the database file is corrupt. Try importing everything into a new, blank database. That should fix any corruption.
