This is nuts!
Suddenly I can't copy/paste a table in Word. I teach online and copying grading rubric tables from Word and pasting them into an Internet Browser Text Box is essential. I can't even copy and paste the table just a few lines down in the same document--what's happening is it's giving me text only separated by tabs--I haven't done anything special to cause this...it just happened and I'm stuck. I tried repairing MS Office, and the problem went away for a few minutes, then returned...and now a repair does nothing to fix things for even a moment.

The Skype Click to Call browser add-on is the most likely culprit. If you have this add-on, disable it or uninstall it (from the Add or Remove Programs control panel; restart Windows after uninstalling to see the effect).
This thread is more than three and a half years old, and the suggestions posted then aren't relevant anymore.
Please start a new thread and explain your problem there.
Skype has released a new version that fixes this bug on April 11, 2012.

i also have a similar trouble. copy and paste table stopped working, border line is disappeared when i pasted to other position. i had tried to fix error in office but not successful. it can't believe that main cause is the Skype Click to Call software, i romoved it from my computer, then my office is normal. Thank your help.
That solved it! Amazing that some add-on that doesn't even apply to office impedes something like copy/paste in Word. I'm so thankful to be able to paste tables agan. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
