The file format is the same, no conversion needed.
Simply edit the file name in Windows Explorer and change the extension from .jpeg to .jpg.

I have all scanned documents in .JPEG format. How can I convert it in to .JPG format. The file type in the folder shows that all the files are .jpg. However, if I upload the file the extension shows .jpeg. Please solve my problem.

Same problem, scanned files as jpeg, want jpg. Same format you say but it doesn't seem to be that way for my Paint software! Paint will use jpg not jpeg but when I try to alter the jpeg format to jpg with just renaming it corrupts the file. I know its possible somehow with Microsoft Office I did it earlier just cant remember how.
That's strange. Changing the extension from .jpeg to .jpg or vice versa doesn't make a difference to the ability to edit the image in Paint or other applications when I try it.
Blame it on the vi-v-v-viruses!
