Pivot Table Column Header Renaming?

Question

In Excel I need to update information on an existing pivot table report. The column headers for the source information also need to be updated. Since I have links to the pivot table reports I can't just rename the column headers because that will delete the report information and mess up my links. Is there any way, other than printing a copy of the pivot table drag fields and then manually reinserting them, to update the field names in my source data?
