Missing .pdf icon via insert object

Hello. I am on a PC using XP on Word 2010.

I am trying to insert a .pdf object. A few people have used this file using 2010, not sure if that matters, but I am putting it out there.

When I try to insert an object normally I get the .pdf icon (if selecting an Acrobat doc.) with the file name underneath it inserted into the doc. Now when I try doing it (in this document. It works in a blank document) I receive a blank square that is able to open the file, but the .pdf icon is missing. I have checked Display as icon. I have tried checking this before selecing the file as well, still no luck. I am only having problems with this file as I was able to insert an object in a blank document. I tried copying and pasting that into this one, but that resulted in a blank area as well.

If you have any ideas I can try, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you..

I figured it out.

Go to the Page Layout tab/Wrap Text/In Front of Text. I can now see the icon and filename.
