error: application virtualization file system dismounted due to severe error?

I was hurried by my co-worker to close a whole bunch of Excel worksheets, and was then instructed to restart my computer. When I tried opening any Office programs after the restart, I was given this error message instead:

"The Application Virtualization Client coud not launch the application you requested.

The Application Virtualization file system has been dismounted due to a severe error. Report the following error code to your System Administrator.

Error code: 4625852-16D0830A-0000E0A3"

What does this mean, and what can I do to fix this?

A very quick response would be greatly appreciated, without Office I cannot do any of my work.

Are you using a Click-to-Run version of Office 2010?

You may repair Office 2010 from the Control Panel and check if it helps. Refer the link given below on how to repair Office. You may restart the computer once the repair is done.

If the repair doesn’t help, and if it’s a Click-to-Run version, you may refer the link on how to switch to the MSI based version of Office 2010, and see if that helps.
