Can't Select Fields For a PivotTable

I have three columns of data that I want to make a pivottable from. If I do this on my computer, it works. I try to do it on another computer and it doesn't allow me to select the fields to be added to the pivottable and the background is completely white in the area that i put the pivottable. Is there a setting in Excel that will cause this to happen on one machine and not another? The user that can't add fields to the pivottable has windows 7. Not sure if that may have something to do with it.

Hi,

Try this

  1. Right click on any one cell within the pivot table and select Pivot Table Options > Display > Classic Pivot Table Layout
  2. Now try to drag the columns inside the pivot table
