Trying to activate get error, "A communication error has occurred. Please verify that you have connectivity to the internet and try again. ( 0x80072F8F )

I have the trial for a computer class. I have to activate the software over the internet. But it keeps saying that i'm not connected to the internet. And since i'm typing this question, i'm obviously connected to the internet. anything I can do?

    you will have to go to www.office.com/verify again and get into a chat session with a support specialist tell them what activation wizard says that you cannot get internet connectivity and ask them to remotely access your computer and activate the software i did it  fixed mine, try

    This error may occur due to multiple issues

    Date time incorrect on the computer

    Non-Microsoft software interference

    Method: 1

    Change the date and time:

    Method: 2

    Start the computer in clean boot and check if a non-Microsoft service is causing the issue. To start Windows in clean boot refer the link below:

    Note: After you have finished troubleshooting in clean boot, ensure to restart the computer in normal mode.
