I recently worked on a complex document that had track chages turned ton. We accepted allt he changes and shut off the feature. However, the feature keeps automatically turning itself back on.  We tried it on numerous machines with the same result (Word 2010).  The document is to complex (with styles, TOC references etc) to paste into a new document.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Options? I accepted all changes and hit the "Track Changes" button (which was highlighted). The track changes indicator on the bottom of Word turns to "Off," but turns back on whenever I close and reopen the document. The same thing happens if I hit the drop-down menu and deselect Track Changes.

How did you turn off the tracking? Which exact option did you choose?

    I have the same problem.

It happens only on the one file and I turned Track Changes off, but it turns itself back on every time I same.

Does it happens only on a specific Word file?

After accepting the track changes, did you turn of the ‘Track Changes’ option before sending the file?

Check the following MS link and ensure that you’ve turned off the ‘Track Changes’ completely’
