    @Manas Tiwari
    Hi,

    What version of your windows 10 and which kb did the problem occur when you installed it?
    This problem occurs because the installation requires a new version of the Windows Modules Installer or the servicing stack.

    Firstly check Windows update history and see the last Service Stack Update installed on your system.
    Then go to catalog.update.microsoft.com website and find out the SSUs released after the SSU installed on your OS.
    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=servicing+stack+update
    You may have to apply those SSUs sequentially one after another until the latest version.

    Hope above information can help you.

    Hello @Manas Tiwari

    In windows 2004 and above the cumulative update will include the latest servicing stack updates, to provide a single cumulative update payload to both Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and Microsoft Catalog.

    What is the KB number you are trying to install?
    What is your current SSU? To check this open the latest CBS log file and look for the latest string of text that have: "loaded servicing". Share with us the info (you can also share latest CBS)

    Regards,

    Juan Sobrado
