Streaming install process broken

Purchased MS Office 2013 Professional Plus through Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP) which is an adjunct benefit to employees via an entreprise contract.  Microsoft store only offers streaming download and does not offer download of complete install package.  First streaming install failed at 84% aftrer two-and-a-half hours.  Second streaming install stopped on its own, despite no other activity on the PC, after two hours at 94%.

On discovery of registered product in Control Panel (Programs), ran "repair" to see if if would re-start and complete install.  At end of repair, got message to reboot, which I did.  Result was succcessful installation of Office 2013 Professional Plus, all modules, and activation of the product.  MS Outlook 2013 successfully acquired and loaded from Outlook 2010 all email, contacts, and rules.

This experience is unacceptable.  During this time I called the support hotline twice, and both times the only "help" I got was to restart the install process.

I did order the backup DVD which meant my default plan B would have been to wait for it it arrive via surface mail and install from it.

Why doesn't Microsoft offer download of the complete install package?

Try removing the Office 15 directory from the target hard drvie and any Registry entries for it.  Reboot and try the DVD again.    Stick with the 32 bit version.

Happy that someone got a copy to install. I have a useless piece of electronics now. Can't install Office in any version or form. Not from DVD or streaming. Not 2010 or 2013. And Microsoft's repair message tells me they are having server trouble.

Install hangs at 84% when streaming from MS. Simply fails with a 1603 error when installing from DVD. 32 bit or 64 does not matter.

    Any guidance?

Thanks for the encouragement and the links.  I appreciate it.

What I'd like to do at this point is make sure that I have all the components that come with the package properly downloaded and installed on my desktop.

Where can I get a list of the programs, tools, and utilities, that make up the complete package?

Update 01/19/13 - Found a listing on Wikipedia and it appears everything is in order. The software is working including save to Skydrive.
