Is there a way to highlight text without doing the whole block?

Thanks

Paul, I think you're looking for a background highlight, right? dcordova40, you're referring to changing the color of the text itself, not the background, right? There doesn't seem to be a highlighter tool, like there is in the rest of Microsoft Office. If there is some ability to highlight the background of the text, can you please be more specific than "do the formatting"?

    Thanks

Assuming you are in Text Edit mode, press Home, then Shift and right-arrow. Only the first character should be highlighted.

Are you in text edit mode?

Select the text you wish to highlight then do the formatting.

I can only highlight all the text in the box, not just a word. Am I not seeing another tool?

    Thanks
