@VinodSurvase-1595,

Do you mean that you want to calculate the data size of chat messages?

I didn’t find such commands or option to realize that.

In Microsoft Teams, the maximum limit for chat size and channel conversation post size is Approximately 28 KB per post. When you reach up to the limitation, it will pop up warning. For more information, please refer to this article.

If I misunderstand your words, please give us more information to know your requirement.

@SharonZhao-MSFT Actually I am looking for an option or command to import exact data size of chat and conversation for migration. We have pilot batch of around 50 users and wants to get the size of data for those users to migrate to another tenant. so before migrating them to tenant we want to get their teams chat and channels data. Hope you get clear idea on this.

@VinodSurvase-1595,

Thanks for your patiently explanation.

As you all know, Teams channel chat and private chat are saved in Exchange mailbox, you can retrieve items size of group mailbox by Get-Mailbox and personal mailbox by Get-MailboxFolderStatistics.
