Hi,

when I went to the developer tab in the ribbon of PowerPoint, I insert a textbox, right-click, properties, change BackStyle to Transparent.

displays transparent textbox in edit mode, but when I go to slideshow, it gives me the opaque one.

how do I get a transparent one?

thanks in advance,

There's no way to do this. Tranparent ActivX objects ONLY work on userforms in show mode. You might be able to match the colour to your slide background.
