Slide Previews Don't Refresh

I'm having an issue where my slide previews don't automatically refresh, so whenever I scroll the slide previews, I then have to mouseover each one for the thumbnails to refresh (the scroll bar position moves, but the slides don't change as if they haven't scrolled until I mouseover each one). Is this a known issue, and how can I fix it?
It has been happening on more than one different file consistently, but it could be that all of the files have at one time been saved in PowerPoint 2007 since that's what I have at work. However, in 2007, the thumbnails refresh, but in 2010, they do not.
It's a really frustrating issue, so I'd appreciate any help I can get.
As far as I know, I have consistently done all automatic updates of Office.
