Hi guys,

I'm trying to install Microsoft Ad Intelligence 8 add-in for Excel 2010 (downloaded recently) and I get this error:

Name:

From: http://advertising.microsoft.com/small-business/wwdocs/user/smb/en-us/supportcenter/mai-add-in-8/Microsoft Advertising Intelligence8.vsto

************** Exception Text **************

System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: The value of the property 'type' cannot be parsed. The error is: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.BusinessApplications.Runtime, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0\VSTOInstaller.config line 10)

   at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Deployment.ClickOnceAddInDeploymentManager.GetManifests(TimeSpan timeout)

   at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Deployment.ClickOnceAddInDeploymentManager.InstallAddIn()

I've repaired (and reinstalled) Visual Studio 2010 tools for office. That didn't help.

Any ideas as to one the problem might be?

Thanks!!

    Thanks, did just that and got the answer.

    If it helps anyone else:

    Uninstall Visual Studio 2010 tools for office.

    DELETE the directory (important)

    Restart

    Install MAI8, it will download VS2010 for office and complete the install just fine.

    Hope this helps someone.

    Tanger
