Hi Euro,

Welcome to Microsoft community and thank you for posting the question.

As per the description provided, it looks like you are having issues with installing Office Professional Plus 2013.

Let us follow these steps and check if it helps in resolving the issue with installing Office 2013:

To resolve the issue, let us run the Fix it from the following article to remove traces of Office 2013 from the system.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

Once the Fix it completes then you may install Office 2013 and verify the results.

Follow the steps and let us know if that helps. If the issue persists, reply and we will be happy to help you.

Thank You

    go to c:\users%userprofiile%\appdata\local\temp\SetupExe(yyyymmdd......).log file

use notepad to open this file

    scroll to the bottom

it should give you some error code

paste it in the forum or google it.

you should be able to find solution.

For my problem, I run the fixit file from here : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549

    Works for me.

    So answer me this ....

I have office totally installed and then I go to install Project 2013...BOOM failure

I either get a general "something has gone wrong" error or sometimes a different error with a number that never crosses to anything on this site.

So riddle me this Batman what the heck is going on and how do I solve it?
